Share the Love on Give to the Max Day

Western Communities Action Network (WeCAN) needs your support on Give to the Max Day on Thursday, November 18. During this statewide day of giving, WeCAN invites you to stop by the office at 5213 Shoreline Drive in Mound to make a monetary donation in person. Thank you to Kowalski’s Market of Excelsior for providing treats! Everyone who makes a donation will get their first name on a heart that WeCAN will display in their front window. Our goal is to fill the window with hearts to “Share the Love!”

Give to the Max day is organized by GiveMN.org. It is a day when all Minnesotans come together to donate to their favorite charity or cause. Please consider a donation to WeCAN on this special day to help them meet their goal of $20,000. A local family foundation has pledged to match the first $5,000 raised, so they are already well on their way.

“We are relying on our generous supporters to help us through this time of change and uncertainty,” said Executive Director Chris Anderson. “Your support is greatly appreciated and gives us strength to do this challenging work.”

No time to stop by, but you still want to give? You can make a donation on WeCAN’s website or at GiveMN.org. All gifts made using GiveMN.org from now through November 17 will be scheduled to process on November 18, making those donations eligible for all Give to the Max Day prizes. Donations will be randomly selected throughout the day and matched with cash grants for your chosen charity.
