Calling All Artists!

Calling all artists! Western Communities Action Network (WeCAN) is hosting “Open Your Heart with Art,” an online auction featuring unique pieces by local artists. Hobbyists are more than welcome to contribute! All funds raised at this event will go toward the 2021 Food Shelf Challenge from Open Your Heart to the Hungry and Homeless (OYH).

WeCAN is looking for paintings, drawings, pottery, sculptures, wood works, jewelry or any other kind of artistic work to include in the auction, which will run from July 22 through July 28.

Each artist, along with his or her work, will be featured individually on both the auction site and on social media. Artists will be asked to complete a brief bio and are welcome to include a website address and/or other contact information.

Funds raised throughout July will be proportionally matched by OYH and will be used to fund WeCAN’s Kids’ Food Bag Program, which provides nutritious foods to families with children throughout the summer.
