Empowering Communities - Because, Together WeCAN

April 1, 2020

As we navigate these uncharted waters together, we rely on YOU – a trusted and generous WeCAN supporter to help us through this time of change and uncertainty. Your commitment to WeCAN and our mission are greatly appreciated and give us strength to do this challenging work.

We continue to thoughtfully adapt to the daily changes we are facing while strongly considering the health and well-being of our staff, clients and volunteers. Right now we are focusing on meeting even the most basic needs of our neighbors, like Sandy (at left), who is one of our grateful Mobile Market clients. But we know that in the weeks and months to come there will an unprecedented need for emergency assistance and other support.

Though we have recently made some tough decisions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this virus will not stop our commitment to helping our clients reach stability and self-sufficiency. Those who depend on us most cannot wait for “normalcy” to arrive.

Our regular schedule of fundraisers has been put on hold during the coronavirus outbreak. But we are not sitting idle and we need your help to continue to provide our important services during this uncertain time.

Thank you to some generous supporters who have already pledged their government stimulus checks to help those in need. Will you join them? Please consider making a tax-deductible  donation online to help our neighbors when they need it most. Or send a check to WeCAN, 5213 Shoreline Drive, Mound, MN 55364.

Especially in times of crisis, our work is desperately needed. Your support is appreciated now more than ever. And when the urgency has lifted, we will be here to help our community rebuild. Our neighbors are counting on us.

Thank you for helping to care for the most vulnerable in our community, now and always.
